Dance Star Saves on CO2...
by not showing up

Playing five gigs in one night would usually involve a helicopter, a fleet of limos and a whopping great carbon footprint, but not for UK dance star Luciana.

The singer, the UK’s answer to Gwen Stefani (well, according to her record company), is about to embark on the first ever nationwide tour… as a hologram.

Luciana, who enjoyed a number 2 single last year in 2006, ‘Yeah Yeah’, will be promoting her latest offering, ‘What Planet You On’, across five of the nation’s superclubs.

Usually such a promotional jaunt would entail trawling up and down the country’s motorways over a number of days. However, the Ivor Novello nominated singer will not even need to leave the comfort of her living room when she appears simultaneously in Leicester, Portsmouth, Rotherham, Stevenage and Birmingham this Friday night (14 December).

London born Luciana follows in the footsteps of Al Gore, whose image was turned into a hologram to launch Live Earth in Tokyo. David Beckham, Richard Branson and Girls Aloud have also been replicated in 3D.
